Courtney Cunat Spencer
Periviable Preemie Mom on the road
to Nursing Researcher
I aim to become a nurse researcher focusing on the care and outcomes of periviable neonates born between 21 and 23 weeks of gestation. My academic work includes a presentation at the Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference (MassURC) of
Survival of 22-week Gestation Neonates Across Western Medicine.
I completed my BSN at the University of Massachusetts Boston, with my capstone project researching the Legal and Ethical Considerations of Resuscitation of Neonates Born in the Twenty-Second Week of Gestation.
My clinical NICU Nurse career started at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, RI.

About 22 Weeker
the need for information
Medical professionals work off evidence based practices. Many times they have not heard of a baby born at 22 weeks of gestation surviving. However there have been surviving and thriving 22 weekers for years.
This site was created for the mother needing hope and information.
This site was created for the medical professional to have easy access to quality medical publications involving 22 week neonates.
